摘要: The reaction of zirconium n-propoxide in glycol at 300°C yielded microcrystalline tetragonal zirconia (ZrO2). crystallite size the product depended on carbon number and increased following order (carbon glycol): 2<6<4, which suggested that heterolytic cleavage O-C bond gylcoxide formed by transesterification is prime factor for formation product. In toluene, isopropoxide also gave 300°C, tert-butoxide decomposed 200°C yielding amorphous zirconia, while was stable 300°C. These results suggest toluene depends structure alkyl group alkoxides. Thus-obtained zirconias maintained large surface areas (90–160 m2/g) even after calcination 500°C.
