Existence and purification of porin heterotrimers of Escherichia coli K12 OmpC, OmpF, and PhoE proteins.

摘要: Porin is a trimeric membrane protein that functions as diffusion pore in the outer of Escherichia coli. We report existence and purification porin heterotrimers between ompC, ompF, phoE gene products. Separation was achieved using high resolution anion exchange column. The amount each heterotrimer species present depended on level expression subunits consistent with random mixing trimer subunits. A strong effect bacterial lipopolysaccharide chromatography also detected. These results imply assembly trimers occurs synthesized different polysomes subunit contacts occur conserved regions primary sequence.
