摘要: High-quality single crystals of 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)-3-acetamidonitrobenzene (DAN) were grown from dimethylsulfoxide solutions. Crystal platelets with dimensions as large 10 mm × 5 2 produced and optically characterized. An interferometric method for the measurement refractive indices platelike samples was developed used platelet surfaces parallel to one principal axis indicatrix. Dispersion data birefringence calculate optical angle propagation directions phase-matched frequency doubling Nd:YAG laser radiation well dependence phase-matching angles in x–z plane on different wavelengths. Loci type I II collinear second-harmonic generation predicted experimentally verified. By measuring effective nonlinear-optical susceptibilities several configurations we able evaluate all susceptibility coefficients allowed by Kleinman’s symmetry, highest being d23 = (50 ± 15) pm/V Miller’s coefficient δ23 (0.49 0.1) m2/As.
