摘要: The extreme halophilic bacteria Halobacterium salinarum is known to produce bacteriorhodopsin (BR) protein in its purple membrane (PM) as a light-driven pump for the synthesis ATP. Its growth does not utilize simple carbon sources such glucose, but relies on complex carbon/nitrogen sources. production yield of BR culture H. also strongly depends nitrogen employed. From various employed this work, tryptone rather than commonly used peptone was found be best nutrient and production. Bubble column photobioreactor operated repeated-batch mode enhance by intermittent removing inhibitory metabolites. By employing 0.5% source medium, 201.8 mg/L obtained after 210 h cultivation which about 50% higher that shaker flask cultivation.
