摘要: The Association for the Study of Internal Fixation (ASIF) was founded in 1958 Switzerland under its original German name “Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Osteosynthesefragen (AO),” a working group to deal with questions on internal fixation fractures. This meantime has become an international organization dedicated improving care patients musculoskeletal injuries and their sequelae through research education principles, practice, quality control results treatment. In 1984 this study transformed into nonprofit foundation providing umbrella structure activities fields research, development, education, documentation. New technologies products developing from ideas development are licensed three Synthes producers, Mathys AG Bettlach, Stratec Medical Oberdorf, both Switzerland, USA, Paoli. royalties which they pay finance AO/ASIF Foundation.
