摘要: Models based on allometric responses to competing neighbours and environmental conditions in mangrove forests are increasingly available. However, the improvement of these models requires a mechanistic understanding how individual trees allocate biomass. This study introduces new tree model (BETTINA) focusing this issue. It is designed investigate response terms biomass allocation patterns conditions. Additionally, it suitable as component an individual-based stand model. BETTINA describes plasticity growth depending their below-ground resource uptake. In contrast existing models, focusses explicitly processes leading variation availability. Based physical principle osmotic potential solutions, direct influence salinity plant water availability considered. Allometric parameters not restricted only above-ground measures trees’ traits (such stem diameter height), but also characterize Within limited predefined empirical maximum values, result depend conditions. The explain relations dependence total size (for now light), has great for physiologically physically related estimations.
