Reducing riverbed infiltration using mixtures of sodium bentonite and clay

摘要: Using reclaimed water has become one of the most effective ways to solve problem urban shortage. mixtures sodium bentonite and clay reduce infiltration is an important safeguard measure meet need groundwater recharge quality safety. The microscopic structure was studied with environmental scanning electron microscopy. effect different mix ratios on performance reducing constant head experiments adsorption ammonium phosphate batch method. results showed that dry particles had lamellar compact structure, after absorbing water, both number size pores gradually reduced uniform distributions. With increase ratio (10–20 % total weight), coefficient mixed materials decreased exponentially (R2 = 0.95). Linear, Freundlich, Langmuir equations could be used describe N/P materials. There were significant correlations between parameters (Sm MBC) ratio. removing better than phosphate. Considering synthetically capability decontamination, a mixture 19 81 suitable model in Yongding River Beijing plain segment.
