摘要: In recent years, increasing environmental concerns focused greater attention on the development of biodegradable materials. A thermoplastic starch derived from bioresources, sugar palm tree was successfully developed in presence glycerol as a plasticizer. Sugar (SPS) added with 15–40 w/w% to prepare workable bioplastics and coded SPS/G15, SPS/G20, SPS/G30 SPS/G40. The samples were characterized for thermal properties, mechanical properties moisture absorption exposure humidity evaluated. Morphological studies through scanning electron microscopy (SEM) used explain observed properties. Generally, addition decrease transition temperature plasticized SPS. SPS increase but up 30 w/w%. Meanwhile, water glycerol.
