Changes in ocular biometry and anterior chamber parameters after pharmacologic mydriasis and peripheral iridotomy in primary angle closure suspects

摘要: Abstract Purpose The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects pharmacologic mydriasis and Peripheral Iridotomy (PI) on ocular biometry anterior chamber parameters in primary angle closure suspects. Methods In prospective interventional case series, 21 suspects were enrolled. Intraocular pressure, refraction, (Lenstar, LS900), (Pentacam HR) measured at four occasions: before PI (before after with phenylephrine) two weeks mydriasis). conducted both eyes only one eye per patient, random, included analysis. Results mean age participants 60 ± 7 years 17 (81%) female. There no significant differences intraocular keratometry, biometric between groups, except for volume, which showed increments mydriasis. corresponding values volume as follows: 88.2 ± 13.7 mm 3 PI, undilated; 106.3 ± 18.8 dilated; 99.0 ± 14.6 undilated, 107.4 ± 16.5 dilated ( P Conclusions This change including iridocorneal and/or volume. factor has potential be used a numerical proxy iris position evaluating monitoring patients PI.
