摘要: Abstract This paper uses the data of 1999 Statistics Canada Innovation Survey to address a crucial question for understanding novelty innovation in manufacturing sector: what are effects sources information on firms? The study considers impact four categories that firms use develop or improve their products processes: internal sources, market research and generally available information. two most important results this that, compared have introduced innovations were premieres them, developed considered as world national more likely to: (1) larger variety information, (2) especially, much processes. policy implications deriving from these very important: could be increased developing policies promoting stronger linkages between government laboratories universities.
