摘要: Abstract. A storm may cause serious damage to infrastructures and public safety. The spatial distribution is an important piece of information in drainage system design landslide hazard analysis. primary objective this paper quantify the characteristics three severe storms Hong Kong. maximum rolling 4, 24 36 h rainfall amounts these are introduced firstly. Then structure precipitation represented by semivariograms analysed both isotropic anisotropic cases. Afterwards, domain assessed via surface trend fitting. Finally correlation detrended residuals determined through studying scales fluctuation along eight directions. can be a rotated ellipsoid random field residuals. principal directions between 25 45°. found 5 km according autocorrelation functions. correlations affected duration. scale becomes smaller as duration increases. Such related local terrain meteorology factors.
