摘要: Natriuretic peptides play a critical role in coordination of fluid/electrolyte balance and vascular tone. The renal effects circulating atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) brain (BNP) are distinct from the paracrine C-type (CNP). CNP is widely expressed throughout vasculature found particularly high concentrations endothelium. Recent studies demonstrate that novel endothelium-derived hyperpolarising factor (EDHF) complements actions other endothelial vasorelaxant mediators such as nitric oxide (NO) prostacyclin. Since several cardiovascular disorders associated with dysfunction activity, selective modulation pathways represents an important therapeutic target; whilst this has been exploited to some degree terms ANP/BNP, potential yet be tapped. This review focuses on recent findings mechanism locally produced endothelial-derived system highlights many avenues for intervention, via CNP-signalling, disease.
