摘要: We propose a procedure for maximum likelihood estimation of the number animals or offspring in closed population where individuals counted go through stages age-groups. Application requires knowledge distributions stage durations. A those based on marked is also given. The procedures are illustrated by applying them to gray seal (Halichoerus grypus) data from Froan Nature Reserve, Central Norway, breeding seasons 1990-1999.
