摘要: Abstract Objective We conducted this retrospective study to determine accuracy of frozen section examination endocervical margin during cold knife conization. Methods Between June 1993 and 2001, 310 consecutive patients underwent cervical conization for squamous intraepithelial lesion or stage IA1 cancer. Before 1997, the surgical specimens 149 were processed following a standard pathological procedure (historical group). After upper was surgery 161 patients. If involved with neoplasia, surgeon performed second resection if possible. Results compared final diagnoses sensitivity, specificity, positive negative predictive values. The usefulness evaluated by comparison status rate one historical control group. For diagnosis neoplasia involving margin, values 91%, 100%, 98%, respectively. Eleven had definitive in group (three false negatives, six without additional resection, two resection) 17 ( P = .16). Conclusion Frozen specimen obtained is highly accurate. Its clinical relevance has be demonstrated multicenter study.
