摘要: This chapter introduces the basics of electrochemistry, with a focus on electron transfer reactions. We will show that electrode potential formed when metal is immersed in solution most time not an equilibrium potential, but mixed stationary state. formation basis corrosion metals aqueous solutions. Organic coatings are introduced as protecting agents, and several types discussed: classical passive coatings, active modern developments. Three electrochemical techniques, which commonly used to asses properties shortly well: linear polarisation measurements, impedance spectroscopy, scanning Kelvin probe measurements.
