摘要: Abstract Air gap membrane distillation (AGMD) desalination process incorporates phase change and transport of vapor from saline water through a hydrophobic an air due to difference in pressure across the coolant plate. In this study, attempt was made observe effect channeled plate instead flat for water. Since AGMD has limited distillate production resistance offered by gap, specially designed used manipulate mass transfer enhancing heat during condensation. For same equivalent freshwater enhanced maximum up 50% compared temperature 25 °C. A one dimensional model is developed validated using experimental data. The results obtained matched well with experiments it predict various designs finned plates.
