Interplay between polymer chain conformation and nanoparticle assembly in model industrial silica/rubber nanocomposites

摘要: The question of the influence nanoparticles (NPs) on chain dimensions in polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) has been treated mainly through fundamental way using theoretical or simulation tools and experiments well-defined model PNCs. Here we present first experimental study NPs conformation for PNCs designed to be as close possible industrial systems employed tire industry. are silica dispersed a styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR) matrix whose NP dispersion can managed by loading with interfacial coatings coupling additives usually manufacturing mixing process. We associated specific (d) labeling, so-called zero average contrast (ZAC) method, SANS, situ SANS SAXS/TEM extract scattering signal at rest non-cross linked under stretching cross-linked loading, individual clusters connected networks, well type, quantity agent elongation rate have evaluated its related deformation. clearly distinguish situations where is perfectly matched from those unperfected matching direct comparison SAXS structure factors. Whatever situation, additive type filler content, there no significant change dimension up 15% v/v within range 5%. One see an extra contribution low Q, often encountered, enhanced non-perfect but also visible perfect matching. This qualitatively attributed h d adsorption surface inside cluster that modifies neutron cluster. Under elongation, act additional cross-linking junctions preventing relaxation giving deformation closer phantom network prediction than pure matrix.
