摘要: The thermodynamic hydrogen-bond basicity scale pKHB(logarithm of the formation constant 4-flouorophenol–base complexes in CCl4) has been determined for 18 thiocarbonyl bases, mainly thioamides and thioureas, correlated to a spectroscopic scale, v(OH) frequency shifts methanol hydrogen bonded same bases. We confirm that major site bonding is sulfur atom bases are always weaker than corresponding carbonyl on pKHB scale. Iminology strongly increases thiourea iminologue Me2NC(Me)NCSNMe2 most basic thiorcarbonyl base presently known. apparently high secondary cyclic thioureas discussed.
