摘要: We have successfully synthesized a novel benzoxazine ring-containing polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (BZ-POSS) monomer by two routes: (1) hydrosilylation of vinyl-terminated using the hydro-silane functional group (H-POSS) and (2) reaction primary amine-containng POSS (Amine-POSS) with phenol formaldehyde. The benzoxazine-containing can be copolymerized other monomers through ring-opening polymerization under conditions similar to that used for polymerizing pure benzoxazines. Thermal properties these POSS-containing organic/inorganic polybenzoxazine nanocomposites been improved over analyzed differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). BZ-POSS is poorly miscible tends aggregate forms its own domains, both before after polymerization. At higher content, gross aggregation occurs results in lower than expected improvement properties.
