摘要: The paper describes two investigative procedures to estimate wind power from measured velocities. Wind velocity data are manipulated visualize the site potential by investigating probable availability and its capacity meet a targeted demand. first procedure is an that looks at characteristics energy capturing profile. This profile of enables maximum operating for selected turbine design be predicted. structured allow consequent adjustment, sorting grouping taken different time intervals hub heights. second adequacy investigates degree application consequences. Both programmed using MathCAD symbolic mathematical software. math tool used generate visual interpolation as well numerical results extensive sets exceed conventional spreadsheet tools. Two sites located in Southern Ontario, Canada investigated procedures. Successful implementation supports informed decision making where hill shown have much higher than local airport. process suitable wide spectrum users who considering either grid-tied or off-grid system.
