摘要: This paper provides a brief description of the two key institutional designs Japanese coastal fisheries and their role in cooperative fishery management. It is well known that management regime utilizes cooperatives, called Fishery Cooperative Associations (FCAs), which are granted territorial user rights (called common fishing rights) established by law for capture within waters its jurisdiction. What not so how exactly these features function operate as to enhance managerial capability over fisheries. FCA collective body individual units (individual, household, or small company).
