摘要: The incidence of cancer in YAs has steadily increased over the past 25 years, and remains a leading cause non-accidental death this age group. Unlike older patients, AYAs tolerate acute side effects therapy relatively well. However, therapies can produce complications that may not become apparent until years later, hence term “late effect” for late-occurring or chronic outcomes – either physical psychological persist develop beyond 5 from diagnosis cancer. Approximately two out every three survivors will experience at least one late effect, about four effect is severe life threatening. These involve all organ systems. resulting include cardiopulmonary compromise, endocrine dysfunction, renal impairment, gastrointestinal musculoskeletal sequelae, subsequent malignancies. are related only to specific employed but also be determined by individual host characteristics. This chapter review known occurring during adolescence young adulthood discuss relationship between these therapeutic modalities (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy) combined-modality regimens, including those used blood marrow transplantation. Screening recommendations, options providing survivorship care, future research opportunities need explored discussed.
