摘要: Theory and experimental results are presented for a basically new type of electron-stream amplifier in which the stream flows near resistive wall. The values gain bandwidth obtainable found to be comparable those other microwave amplifiers, such as traveling-wave tubes. In contrast tubes, however, is affected very little by appreciable changes circuit parameters or operating voltage; furthermore, self-oscillation inherently absent because input effectively isolated from output. Experiments described that were performed mainly verify theory; existence growing wave was demonstrated, measured good agreement with theory.
