摘要: This paper describes a spatio-temporal model of the human visual system (HVS) for video imaging applications, predicting response neurons primary cortex. The simulates behavior HVS with three-dimensional filter bank which decomposes data into perceptual channels, each one being tuned to specific spatial frequency, orientation and temporal frequency. It further accounts contrast sensitivity, inter-stimuli masking interaction. free parameters have been estimated by psychophysics. can then be used as basis many applications. As an example, quality metric coded sequences is presented.
