摘要: As cropland management and land use shifted towards more intensive practices, global degradation increased drastically. Understanding relationships between ecological socioeconomic drivers of soil landscape within these landscapes in economically dynamic contexts such as the Mediterranean region, requires multi-target multi-scalar approaches covering long-term periods. This study provides an original approach for identifying desertification risk sustainable strategies Italian agro-forest districts. An Environmental Sensitivity Area (ESA) approach, based on four thematic indicators (climate, soil, vegetation land-use) a composite index (ESAI), was used to evaluate changes vulnerability years 1960 2010. A multivariate model developed identify most relevant causing susceptibility at district scale. Larger districts, those with higher proportion their total surface area classified agro-forest, had significantly lower increase during 50 when compared remaining We conclude that preserving economic viability connectivity traditional, extensive agricultural systems is key measure mitigate region.
