摘要: Abstract The influence of age and adrenalectomy the animal on activity rat heart monoamine oxidase (MAO) was investigated. model describing changes in tissue contents an enzyme as a transition from one steady state to another used determine whether act synthesis or degradation MAO. Rats were treated with irreversible MAO inhibitor pargyline measure rate recovery following almost total inactivation order obtain values for first constants. sp. act. increased due reduction constant without any effect synthesis. Adrenalectomy led increase through unaccompanied by change constant. Treatment at operation prevented rise that normally followed adrenalectomy. possible mechanisms involved presence enzyme-degrading systems are discussed.
