摘要: Intending to explore useful ointment bases containing hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), an investigation was made on the spreadability, washing-out time and drug release of combined mixtures HPC with aqueous glycerine (Aq. G1), propylene glycol (PG) polyethylene (PEG). The decrease spreadability due increase concentration remarkable in low concentration, declining above 10% (w/v) HPC/PG 14% HPC/PEG. HPC/PEG 12% lost fluidity take a gel-like state this mixture indicated typical thixotropic phenomenon. increased HPC, it seemed be related viscosity. With addition 30% zinc oxide as insoluble drug, 23% at largest, which observed for HPC/Aq. G1. spread radius 2 min measurement sample (10 : 100, w/v) after heating 150° 1 hr 54% larger than that intact one, indicating structure relating thixotropy might crushed by heating. from each decreased HPC. showed fastest given below 4.1 cm. As result, shown would provide promising material ointments other semisolid preparations combining properly Aq. G1, PG PEG.
