摘要: Sibs of five to 11 twin pairs each breeds were either slaughtered as veal or yearling bulls. Highly significant breed differences evident in the carcass tissue proportions which could be explained on basis physiology dairy and dual-purpose animals, former depositing more fat bone than breeds. Among carcasses Pinzgauer (Pi) tended rank between Fleckvieh (FV), Braunvieh (BV), Grauvieh (GV) those Friesian (Fr). The FV, BV, GV had meat hindquarter shoulder FR while these turn brisket flank shank muscles. Again Pi group aforementioned groups. Within breeds, large indicated high heritabilities for ratios. heritability commercial cut was fairly but genetic variance small, coefficient variation being less 0-02. different degrees sexual maturity also caused distribution young male animals. Significant mean squares interactions treatments correlations unity performance genotypes bulls, age and/or rearing system by genotype within various slaughter traits. Phenotypic traits low except where part-whole relationships involved. It is suggested that at comparable respective cause weak connection
