摘要: In this study we investigated the effects of axon-sparing lesions preoptic region on maternal behavior postpartum rats. The were produced with excitotoxic amino acid N-methyl-D,L-aspartic (NMA). first experiment determined that bilateral injections NMA into medial area (MPOA) fully lactating rats disrupted behavior. a second experiment, lateral and adjoining substantia innominata (LP/SI region) also A third employing horseradish peroxidase histochemistry, provided anatomical evidence destroys neuronal cell bodies while sparing fibers passage. These findings discussed respect to view an MPOA-to-LP/SI-to-ventral tegmental circuit underlies in rat.
