摘要: Abstract Thirty four arboreal pollen taxa were assigned to plant functional types and then classified eight forest biomes in Japan adjacent areas. When applied 285 surface spectra from Japan, the method assigns 78% (222 sites) of samples correct biome. The is particularly good at reconstructing warm-mixed, temperate deciduous, conifer cool-mixed forests, but reconstruction cool-conifer was difficult. has been late Quaternary record Lake Mikata, central (35°33’22” N, 135°53’40” E, 0 m a.s.l.) reconstruct vegetation changes since ca 40,000 yr BP. shows that deciduous dominated around Mikata before 25,000 yr A phase (now present only Hokkaido, 1000 km northeast) reconstructed between 22,000 18,000 yr BP, corresponding coldest stage Last Glaciation. This bound by two transition phases are characterized co-dominance vegetation. Holocene represented warm-mixed grows site today.
