powerlaw: A Python Package for Analysis of Heavy-Tailed Distributions

摘要: Power laws are theoretically interesting probability distributions that also frequently used to describe empirical data. In recent years, effective statistical methods for fitting power have been developed, but appropriate use of these techniques requires significant programming and insight. order greatly decrease the barriers using good law distributions, we developed powerlaw Python package. This software package provides easy commands basic analysis distributions. Notably, it seeks support a variety user needs by being exhaustive in options available user. The source code is publicly easily extensible.
