摘要: Lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2) belongs to an amine oxidase family whose members have been implicated in crosslink formation stromal collagens and elastin, cell motility, tumor development progression. We previously demonstrated the association between increased LOXL2 expression invasive/metastatic behavior human breast cancer cells mouse squamous spindle carcinomas, interaction SNAIL epithelial-mesenchymal transition, localization of gene 8p21.2-21.3, within a minimally deleted region several cancers, including colon esophagus. In present study, we analyzed esophageal tumors, explored methylation as regulator expression. Immunohistochemistry using normal tissues intracellular colonic enteroendocrine at luminal surface, but not mitotically active cells. Tissue array analysis 52 adenocarcinomas 50 carcinomas revealed presence 83 92% samples, respectively, significant number LOXL2-expressing less-differentiated carcinomas. determined that status 1150 bp 5' CpG island may contribute regulation gene. Loss heterozygosity studies, microsatellite intron 4 gene, loss was unlikely play major role either or tumors. These results suggest
