摘要: This article reports the under representation of women in discipline geography world and focuses on position global community International Geographical Union IGU. First, it gives an overview underrepresentation different parts world, demonstrating that are particularly underrepresented positions power prestige. Second, summarizes factors explain geography. Finally, analyzes governance It concludes geographers still IGU same way as departments all over world. The participation reflects gendered nature subdisciplines integrative natural sciences-social sciences-humanities discipline, with a higher share female human than physical technical subdisciplines.
