摘要: Sucrose which is found in molasses such as beet or cane may be selectively extracted therefrom by passing an aqueous solution of the over a solid adsorbent activated carbon. The sucrose will adsorbed thereon and separated from betaine mineral salts, specifically potassium chloride, molasses. then removed treatment with desorbent material comprising alcohol. In applying simulated moving bed countercurrent flow system to this separation, presence alcohol seriously impede adsorption sucrose. present invention incorporates water flush stream into unique manner which, among other things, precludes zone.
