摘要: A free-piston Stirling engine usable as a heat pump has closed vessel filled with helium working gas which is heated at the bottom end and cooled top end. The contains displacer supported for axial reciprocal oscillation on spring post mounted vessel. shuttles from to in vessel, alternately heating cooling gas. sealed flexible diaphragm flexes response pressure wave generated cooled. When flexes, it displaces hydraulic fluid chamber drives power piston driving linear alternator compressor. operating second cylinder other side of stores part energy stroke returns return stroke. Controls are provided balancing controlling pressure, starting engine, modulating its output.
