摘要: Environmental pollution caused by toxic heavy metals is one of the most pressing problems in many densely populated cities worldwide. The industrial and domestic wastes responsible for various damages to environment adversely affect health human population. major metal ions hazardous humans as well other forms life are chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), selenium (Se), vanadium (V), copper (Cu), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), arsenic (As), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), etc. It necessary remove these from effluents before discharging aqueous waste into environment. Under current regulations, industries obligated treat water reduce concentration less than certain designated values discharge urban household water. Numerous methods exist removing detrimental solutions. main techniques that have been utilized include chemical precipitation, ion exchange, oxidation, reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, ultrafiltration. Most their own inherent limitations such efficiency, sensitive operating conditions, production secondary sludge, expensive disposal sludge. Another powerful technology adsorption metals, activated carbon (AC). AC has recognized highly effective adsorbents removal concentrated dilute metal-bearing effluents.
