摘要: We use administrative data from Texas to estimate how graduating a state flagship or community college relative nonflagship university affects the distribution of earnings. control for selection students across sectors using rich set observable ability and background characteristics find evidence substantial heterogeneity in returns quality. Returns increase with earnings among UT–Austin graduates but decline A&M graduates. For colleges, are negative lower earners go zero higher earners. Our estimates also point differences by race/ethnicity.
