摘要: To explore the vertical and horizontal distributions of fish larvae near end their pelagic period, six light traps were set up over four lunar months at different depths (sub-surface, midwater bottom) habitat types (reef slope: 50 m distance from reef crest; frontier zone: 110 distance; sandy 200 distance) on outer slope Moorea Island, French Polynesia. The highest captures in sub-surface zone, bottom zone zone. It is hypothesized that move towards surface to avoid reef-based planktivores get into a favourable position for surfing crest.
