摘要: Using a methylcellulose clonal cell culture technique, we examined serial changes in erythropoietic precursors the femur, spleen, and blood of mice prepared with bleeding, erythropoietin injections, or hypertransfusion packed red cells. Significant were observed for all hemopoietic organs number burst-forming units (BFU-E) erythrocytic colony-forming (CFU-E). In bleeding BFU-E CFU-E similar to but less striking than those seen phenylhydrazine-induced anemia. The transient decline femoral coincided temporary increase splenic BFU-E. A more pronounced was noted femur spleen these mice. hypertransfused mice, direction changers opposite. While increased mildly, significant drop Both declined remained low while erythrocytosis presisted. Next, proliferative state marrow using short-term incubation high specific tritiated thymidine. normal DNA synthetic phase about 36 74%, respectively. Neither induction anemia phenylhydrazine hydrochloride nor polycythemia caused precursors. These results indicate that represent migration from rather proliferation. Marrow anemic decreased polycythemic without their state. It is possible target stimulation may be cells at maturational stages intermediate between CFU-E.
