摘要: This study was aimed at determining, with homologous mouse gametes, whether a level of membrane lipid peroxidation insufficient to affect sperm motility parameters can alter fertilizing potential. The addition ferrous ions and ascorbic acid (Fe2+/ Asc) suspensions increases the formation thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), an indicator peroxide breakdown products, without significantly affecting sulfhydryl groups. In presence Fe2+/Asc concentrations above > 0.4/2.0 mM, spermatozoa become immotile. However, < or = mM Fe2+/Asc, i.e., conditions in which TBARS is increased by 4.6-fold over that controls, remains unaffected for up 3 hours. 0.4/ 2.0 treated increase their potential 50%, as measured two-cell embryos. not caused improvements (percentage, linearity, velocity, hyperactivation) capacitation. On other hand, there significant capacity bind zona pellucida. conclusion, mild peroxidative conditions, modifying free groups parameters, improve increasing binding
