Use of and attitudes toward complementary and alternative medicine among nurse-midwives in Israel

摘要: Objective The objective of the study was to evaluate use and attitudes nurse-midwives in Israel toward complementary alternative medicine (CAM). Study Design In a cross-sectional study, from 5 Israeli medical centers completed CAM Health Belief Questionnaire, validated tool examining data regarding personal health behavior, therapies, CAM. Results One hundred seventy-three 238 potential respondents questionnaires (72.7%). Most (87.3%) reported using (67.1% massage, 48.6% herbal medicine, 42.2% meditation, 40.5% touch 39.9% prayer) agree with many fundamental tenets such as existence energy forces, self-healing, integrating patients' beliefs values into their care. Conclusion majority studied recommending patients believe that can complement conventional therapies. care providers could benefit education regard efficacy safety modalities during pregnancy childbirth.
