摘要: Amazona lilacina is a threatened species endemic to Ecuador, existing across patchwork of mangroves, lowland coastal forests, agricultural and community owned land. The was described in 2014 listed as ‘Endangered’ on the IUCN Red List, however, full assessment population lacking. Using combination field observations, roost surveys questionnaires, conducted over last 20 years, we provide up-to-date information species’ Extent Occurrence, estimate its global size, evaluate level threat. Our results suggest occurs an area 19,890 km2 three distinct geographically isolated subpopulations. Roost range minimum remaining at 741–1,090 individuals present evidence 60% decline past 19 years one part range. We questionnaires with 427 people from 52 communities. presence pet parrots reported 37 communities, including 17 communities which A. lilacina. From this predict that half all within our study keep pets least 96 findings justify Listing for highlight need conservation support. In order assess health more detail, further research required genetic diversity dynamics, identify areas may be important feeding nesting throughout As many these are likely overlap land, future actions should revolve around, led by,
