摘要: The cathepsin B-like proteases of higher plants are mostly related to stress / damage. expression transcript in the plant system is regarded response towards abiotic stimuli, wounding tissues, organ abscission. We isolated a putative partial cDNA from chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens). A library wound induced placental tissue transcripts was constructed phage vector system. Partial sequencing and silico analysis revealed high levels sequence homology cysteine protease solanaceae family, but much lower with other proteinases. Sequence alignment using ClustalW consensus sequences family for proteases. Further, translated amino acid by BLASTx conserved domains among unrelated families. Name assignment this as based on nucleotide similarity which 91% 97% respectively proteinase Nicotiana rustica. Our current hypothesis function that it encodes mechanical tissues.
