摘要: Publisher Summary PPARδ was first cloned in Xenopus and termed PPARβ. However, when mammals, it not obviously homologous to the gene given name PPARδ. Other synonyms for are NUC1 or FAAR. is expressed various tissues, often at a higher level than PPARα PPARγ, where activates genes that increase lipid absorption, preferential utilization, catabolism β-oxidation, energy expenditure. This chapter gives an overview on function of metabolism focuses molecular regulation homeostasis modulated by agonists this receptor their therapeutic potentials. The summarizes striking evidence specific ameliorate cholesterol homeostasis, have great potential treating hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, other metabolic diseases associated with obesity syndrome. Activation skeletal muscle results remodeling major peripheral mass tissue, increasing its oxidative fibers, thereby contributing reduction overall body-fat content. Dyslipidemia, hyperinsulinemia, blood glucose levels (and tolerance), diabetes, inflammation, all serious risk factors disease has been reported many these perturbations.
