摘要: We use the Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) to probe dynamics of stepping process negatively charged plasma channels (negative leaders) in a lightning discharge. observe that at each step leader, multiple pulses vhf (30-80 MHz) radiation are emitted short-duration bursts (<10 μs). This is evidence for streamer formation during corona flashes occur with leader step, which has not been observed before natural and it could help explain x-ray emission from leaders, as x rays laboratory leaders tend be associated flashes. Surprisingly, we find length very similar what was near ground, however time considerably larger, yet understood. These results will improve propagation models, eventually protection models.
