摘要: Abstract Group B Streptococcus (GBS) is a major cause of invasive disease in young infants and also older immunocompromised individuals, including HIV-infected persons. We compared naturally acquired antibody titres to GBS polysaccharide surface protein antigens HIV-uninfected children aged 4–7 years. A multiplex Luminex immunoassay was used measure IgG concentrations against capsular polysaccharides (CPS) for serotypes Ia, Ib, III V; extracellular localizing proteins which included cell-wall anchored proteins: Fibrinogen binding Antigen (FbsA), Immunogenic Bacterial Adhesin (BibA), Surface immunogenic (Sip), gbs0393, gbs1356, gbs1539, gbs0392; lipoproteins gbs0233, gbs2106 Foldase PsrA. (n = 68) had significantly lower GMT (n = 77) CPS serotype Ib (p = 0.012) V (p = 0.0045), Sip (p + lymphocyte counts count ⩾500 cell/μL with the exception Sip. The increased susceptibility individuals could be due specific possibly some such as gbs2106.
