摘要: Penicillium species are important producers of bioactive secondary metabolites. However, the immense diversity fungal kingdom is only scarcely represented in industrial bioprocesses and upscaling compound production remains a costly labor intensive challenge. In order to facilitate development novel metabolite producing processes, two routes typically explored: optimization native producer or transferring enzymatic pathway into heterologous host. Recent genome sequencing ten showed vast amount gene clusters present their genomes, makes them accessible for rational strain improvement. this study, we aimed characterize potential these as cell factories by testing growth performance submerged cultivations. Cultivation controlled bioreactors that wild type had promising, highly reproducible characteristics different media. Analysis using liquid chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry proved produced broad range metabolites, at stages fermentations. Metabolite profiling identification known compounds resulted 34 metabolites; which included several properties such antibacterial, antifungal anti-cancer activities. Additionally, species–metabolite relationships were found. This study demonstrates fermentation recently sequenced should be considered very encouraging application hosts via fermentation. The results particularly promising analysed
