摘要: Desiccated cyanobacterial mats are the dominant biological feature in Earth's arid zones. While response of desiccated cyanobacteria to rehydration is well documented for terrestrial systems, information about marine systems lacking. We used high temporal resolution hyperspectral imaging, liquid chromatography, pulse-amplitude fluorometry, oxygen microsensors and confocal laser microscopy study this a microbial mat from Exmouth Gulf, Australia. During initial 15 minutes after chlorophyll concentrations increased 2-5 fold photosynthesis was re-established. Although mechanism behind rapid increase remains unknown, we hypothesize that it involves resynthesis precursor stored cyanobacteria. The subsequent phase (15 min – 48 h) involved migration reactivated towards surface, which led, together with gradual a, further photosynthesis. conclude involving an recovery photosynthetic activity within common both aquatic origin. However upward its triggering factor appears be mat-specific likely linked other factors.
