摘要: The oxidation of nine ternary iron-chromium-manganese alloys was studied at 900°C in an oxygen partial pressure 26.7 kPa. manganese concentration set 2, 6, and 10 wt. %, chromium 5, 12, 20 %. scales formed on the low-chromium consisted (Mn,Fe)2O3, α-Fe2O3, Fe3O4. These all exhibited internal scale detachment upon cooling. higher-chromium were complicated by nodule formation. Initially, these had outer layer MnCr2O4 with Cr2O3 underneath, adjacent to alloy. With passage time, however, nodules formed, overall reaction rate increased. This tendency more marked higher contents. Although contained a high content, product chromia usually manganese. It concluded that presence iron-chromium adverse effect resistance over wide range levels.
