摘要: Allergic rhinitis affects up to 40% of children but is commonly undiagnosed. Careful assessment nasal symptoms allows for the most appropriate therapeutic options be chosen. Allergen avoidance often difficult in practice. Antihistamines are limited benefit allergic caused by house dust mite and other perennial allergens, where symptoms, predominantly obstruction, not histamine mediated. In contrast, triggered pollen, such as itch, rhinorrhoea sneezing, relieved antihistamines. Intranasal steroids treatment choice persistent moderate-severe more effective than antihistamines relief obstruction. Failure respond intranasal medications poor compliance or inefficient use sprays. Immunotherapy may a useful, if expensive, option, particularly because specific pollen. The benefits immunotherapy mite-induced asthma remain controversial.
